Description
The MCT SL Series is a range of medium to large gantry Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) designed to provide excellent structural stability and flexibility across a wide variety of metrology applications. Available in a broad range of sizes, the MCT SL can be configured to meet the specific requirements of individual measurement tasks and production environments.
Its adaptable design makes it suitable for the inspection of large and complex components while maintaining reliable measurement performance across extensive measuring volumes.
The MCT StarLight is also available in an NT configuration, featuring a lightweight aluminium alloy Z-axis spindle and a Single Read X-axis system. This configuration provides an alternative solution for applications where these design characteristics are preferred.

- High-rigidity Y-axis crossbeam with a unique tubular steel construction
- Extruded aluminium alloy Z-axis spindle designed to provide rigidity while reducing inertia
- Large cross-section stabilised steel X-beams with support systems that allow linear expansion without induced deformation
- High-strength epoxy resin X and Y-axis guideways, precision ground to a surface roughness of 0.4 µm
- High-resolution measurement system with 0.1 µm linear transducers
- Dual Read system on the longitudinal X-axis
- Optional Dual Drive system on the longitudinal X-axis (standard on machines with a 3000 mm Y-axis stroke)
- Multi-sensor temperature compensation system for automatic correction of thermal expansion effects in structural components
