Description
The SWAN SI Series is a technically advanced and cost-effective horizontal arm Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) designed for the dimensional inspection of thin-walled sheet metal and plastic components commonly found in the automotive industry.
The machine incorporates air bearings on both the X and Z axes, providing smooth movement and supporting high-precision measurement performance. The X-axis guideway is positioned alongside the cast iron or granite support surface, contributing to a compact and efficient machine layout.
Its lightweight yet robust moving carriage is manufactured entirely from aluminium alloy, while a dual mechanical guideway system with recirculating ball bearings on the X-axis beam provides reliable operation and accurate measurement results.
For applications within manufacturing environments, the SWAN SI can be installed on a pneumatic vibration isolation system, eliminating the need for a dedicated machine foundation while maintaining measurement performance in shop-floor conditions.
