The ECG-1080S Centreless Grinder combines a rigid Meehanite cast iron construction with precision-engineered components to deliver accurate and consistent grinding performance. Featuring servo-controlled regulating wheel speeds, high-quality spindle assemblies, and a vibration-reducing design, it is well suited to demanding centreless grinding applications.

Description

The machine base is manufactured from Meehanite cast iron and designed to minimise vibration during operation. This rigid foundation provides stable support for both the grinding wheel and regulating wheel assemblies, contributing to consistent grinding performance and accuracy.

The grinding and regulating wheel spindles are manufactured from Ni-Cr-Mo alloy steel and undergo normalising, carburising, hardening, and precision grinding processes to ensure durability and reliable operation.

A double inverted V-type slideway arrangement with optimised spacing supports the regulating wheel assembly, providing smooth movement and stable grinding conditions throughout the machining process.

The regulating wheel is driven by a servo motor, allowing infinitely variable speed control. A belt-driven transmission system is used in place of a conventional chain drive, helping to reduce vibration and operating noise during machine operation.
