The Kaida CW62440-5000 is a heavy-duty conventional lathe designed for the machining of large, long, and heavy workpieces. Built with a rigid machine structure and high-capacity spindle system, it is suitable for demanding turning applications in heavy engineering, mining, power generation, and industrial manufacturing environments.
The machine features hardened and precision-ground bedways and headstock gears, providing excellent wear resistance, low operating noise, and long-term machining accuracy. A high-rigidity spindle system supports heavy cutting operations, while the clutch-equipped headstock allows smooth spindle engagement and operation.
With a swing over bed of up to 1400 mm, turning lengths of up to 12 metres, and workpiece capacities of up to 6 tonnes, the CW62440-5000 is designed to accommodate large shafts, rollers, cylinders, and other oversized components. The Norton-type feed gearbox provides a wide range of threading and feed options, supporting versatile machining capabilities across a variety of applications.
