Description
The Micro Dynamics MEGA 40V is a high-performance vertical machining centre designed for high-speed machining, heavy material removal, and precision mould and die applications. Combining a rigid machine structure with advanced motion control technology, the MEGA 40V delivers the productivity, accuracy, and surface finish required in demanding manufacturing environments.
Built on a heavy-duty cast iron platform weighing over 5,600 kg, the machine provides exceptional rigidity and vibration damping during aggressive cutting operations. The 15,000 rpm dual-contact spindle delivers 31 kW of power and 141 Nm of torque, enabling efficient machining across a wide range of materials. Optional spindle configurations of up to 24,000 rpm are available for high-speed finishing applications.
Advanced technologies such as DYPEC® thermal compensation and AI-assisted contour control help maintain accuracy and optimise surface finishes during complex machining operations. The machine is available with leading CNC control systems, including FANUC and Mitsubishi, and is supported by the intuitive Micro Dynamics HMI touchscreen interface.
With rapid traverse rates, fast tool changes, and flexible tooling configurations, the MEGA 40V is ideally suited to aerospace, mould and die, medical, automotive, and general precision manufacturing applications.
