Micro Dynamics 40V – Tera

The Micro Dynamics TERA 40V is a high-performance 3-axis vertical machining centre designed for precision machining of small to medium-sized components across a wide range of industries. Combining a rigid machine structure, high spindle power, and advanced thermal compensation technology, the TERA 40V delivers the accuracy, reliability, and productivity required in modern manufacturing environments.

Built on a heavily ribbed Meehanite FC300 cast iron structure, the machine provides exceptional rigidity and vibration damping for both high-speed and heavy-duty machining operations. The 15,000 rpm integral spindle delivers 41 HP and 104 ft-lbs of torque, while rapid spindle acceleration and high-performance servo systems maximise productivity and reduce cycle times.

Micro Dynamics’ DYPEC® thermal compensation technology continuously monitors thermal growth and automatically adjusts machine positioning to maintain accuracy during extended machining cycles. Advanced features such as SSS Gen 4 high-speed surface control, look-ahead processing, and DYCON® conversational programming further enhance machining performance and ease of operation.

Equipped with a Mitsubishi M830VW CNC control, 40-tool automatic tool changer, integrated chip management system, and automation-ready Ethernet/IP connectivity, the TERA 40V is ideally suited to aerospace, medical, mould and die, and general manufacturing applications.
