Description
The Micro Dynamics TERA 50VT is a high-performance 4+1 axis vertical machining centre featuring an integrated trunnion table for multi-sided machining in a single setup. Designed to reduce setups and improve machining efficiency, the machine allows manufacturers to access multiple faces of a component without manual repositioning, improving accuracy and productivity.
Built on the proven TERA platform, the machine combines a rigid FC300 Meehanite cast iron structure with a high-speed 15,000 rpm built-in spindle and advanced thermal compensation technology. The integrated trunnion table utilises a zero-backlash roller gear cam mechanism to provide accurate rotary positioning and reliable long-term performance.
The Mitsubishi M830VW CNC control, coupled with Micro Dynamics’ HMI interface, provides advanced machining functionality, intuitive operation, and support for complex multi-axis machining strategies. Optional upgrades allow full 5-axis simultaneous machining capability using the Mitsubishi M850VW control system.
With high-speed tool changing, rapid traverse rates, and DYPEC® thermal compensation technology, the TERA 50VT is ideally suited to aerospace, medical, mould and die, and precision engineering applications requiring complex component machining and high productivity.
